Project Manager Retail Stores (m/f/d)

JOIN OUR TEAM
As Project Manager Retail Stores you will own and lead the expansion of our Westwing Stores across Europe. This high-impact role offers a steep development path in a startup-like setting where you take on responsibility from day one, working closely with the Head of Retail Concept & Operations. Coming with exceptional project management expertise as well as solid knowledge in construction and retail, you will identify potential Store locations and ensure fast and smooth openings of new Stores. This position is unlimited and located in Munich.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • own and drive the end-to-end opening of new Stores end-to-end, from creating a project plan to the final handover to the new Store team 
  • identify potential locations and conduct on-site analyses to ensure the locations meet the requirements and offer optimal growth potential across Europe
  • lead and coordinate third-party contractors, such as architects, construction firms and/or consultants
  • coordinate and manage internal stakeholders, from Store Design & Customer Experience, Merchandising, Retail Marketing, People & Culture, Operations and Finance
  • ensure effective and efficient project management including compliance with schedules, budgets and quality standards
  • solve problems proactively and identify and monitor potential risks
  • deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, documentation, and presentations where appropriate 
YOU COME WITH
  • 5+ years of professional experience in project management, preferably in an expansion function in stationary retail
  • exceptional knowledge of project management methods, tools, and techniques to ensure effective project planning, execution and monitoring
  • a proven track record in stakeholder management and problem-solving and the ability to to motivate and inspire others  
  • excellent time- and self-management skills, strong analytical skills as well as high flexibility and adaptability to business needs
  • high willingness and ability to travel
  • strong hands-on mentality as well as a high degree of team spirit & willingness to learn continuously
  • strong communication skills - fluency in English and German
  • proficient in commonly used project management programs and MS office
