Junior Last Mile Manager - Expansion (m/f/d)

As Junior Last Mile Manager- Expansion you will be directly responsible for launching our last mile deliveries in different parts of Europe and owning the operational and commercial success of  the new last mile markets. Within a strong team of linehaul and last mile logistics experts we are on our mission to build a world class supply chain. This position is unlimited located in Munich or Warsaw.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • analyse the target last mile markets and develop an effective transportation strategy
  • manage the business relations with the 3PL providers spanning from provider selection, to provider on-boarding, to daily last mile transportation activities
  • constantly analyse the current logistics set-up and develop and implement (strategic) operational and commercial improvements
  • track and report logistics costs and assist in budgeting and cost control initiatives and optimise transportation spend where possible
  • build strong relationships with your 3PL partners, monitor their operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions where needed
  • identify and manage projects to improve customer and provider experience, working closely with internal and external teams
YOU COME WITH
  • bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • first experience and knowledge of (e-commerce) last mile markets and logistics.
  • strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and 3PL partners
  • detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and data analysis. Excellent analytical skills, Excel proficiency, (basic) knowledge of SQL and warehouse management systems are plus
  • fluency in English, knowledge of German or a Nordic language (e.g. Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish) is a plus
