Senior Last Mile Manager (m/f/d)

As Senior Last Mile Manager you own the operational and commercial success of our third-party logistics partnerships. Within a strong team of line haul and last mile logistics experts we are on our mission to build a world class supply chain. This position is unlimited and located in Munich.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • oversee relationships with third-party logistics providers, ensuring they meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and cost targets manage performance reviews, contract negotiations, and operational improvements
  • co-develop and execute logistics and fulfillment strategies that align with company growth goals assess and implement solutions to enhance speed, efficiency, and flexibility in the supply chain
  • identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the fulfilment process, focusing on lead time reduction and cost optimisation
  • work closely with teams in operations, supply chain, customer service, and technology to drive alignment and improvements across all aspects of the supply chain
  • analyse metrics and reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement provide regular updates to leadership on logistics performance and opportunities for cost savings
  • monitor potential risks within the logistics and supply chain process and implement strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring business continuity and minimizing disruptions
  • manage budget for logistics, ensuring that all solutions implemented are cost-effective while meeting service level standards
YOU COME WITH
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations within an e-commerce environment, with at least 3 years in a 3PL management or similar role
  • bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, operations, or a related field a master’s degree is a plus
  • in-depth understanding of eCommerce fulfillment, warehousing, transportation, and distribution networks familiarity with multi-channel and direct-to-consumer logistics models is preferred
  • strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making proficiency with supply chain software and analytics tools (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS)
  • proven negotiation abilities with experience managing commercial discussions and third-party logistics partners ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to senior management and drive cross-functional alignment
  • fluency in English, knowledge of German or a Dutch language is a plus
