Business Development Manager (m/f/d)

Munich Office
Full-time
Permanent employee

JOIN OUR TEAM

As a Business Development Manager, you will lead the project management for a set of high-priority work packages for Westwing Collection: developing AI agents to automate and streamline processes across the collection, and implementing new compliance topics as they emerge, such as the Digital Product Passport (DPP). You'll take ownership of each work package end-to-end, from initial planning through cross-functional execution to successful roll-out, keeping timelines, budgets, and stakeholders aligned throughout. This position is permanent and based in Munich.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Scope, build, and roll out AI agents that automate and streamline processes and drive efficiency gains across Westwing Collection's workflows, spotting new opportunities for automation and building the roadmap for it
  • Own the project management for new compliance topics as they emerge (e.g., the Digital Product Passport), coordinating data collection, requirements, and implementation to meet regulatory deadlines
  • Take ownership of our PLM system, managing any needed adjustments and driving its continuous improvement so it's tailored to Westwing Collection's evolving needs
  • Define and track the project plan for each work package, including milestones, budgets, resourcing, and risks, and proactively resolve roadblocks as they arise
  • Coordinate closely with internal legal, product, tech, and quality stakeholders to translate regulatory and process requirements into practical, implementable solutions
  • Build and maintain clear project documentation and status reporting, keeping senior leadership informed on progress, risks, and dependencies across all work packages

YOU COME WITH

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, ideally with exposure to regulatory/compliance projects or digital transformation initiatives, and how these affect product and e-commerce businesses
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools and agent-building platforms (e.g., LLM-based agents, workflow automation tools), and a strong interest in applying these to real business processes
  • Experience working with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems, ideally including configuring or improving them to fit business needs
  • A proactive, hands-on mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity and new regulatory or technical topics, as well as a highly structured, organised, and detail-oriented approach to managing multiple work packages and stakeholders at once
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to translate regulatory and technical topics into clear, actionable plans
  • Fluency in English; German is a plus
