As a Controlling Manager, you will be a key contributor to the financial closing and review process across all Westwing entities, gaining a broad overview of our global financial operations. Working closely with cross-functional Finance and Business teams, you will be actively involved in strategic and operational initiatives such as country expansions, the development of new business models, and the optimisation of end-to-end financial reporting processes. In this high-impact role, your analytical mindset will directly shape our financial transparency and operational scalability. This position is permanent and based in Munich.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Serve as a key contributor to the financial closing and review process within the Controlling team, driving full transparency and insight into costs across the entire Group
  • Own key Controlling processes, including the annual SG&A budgeting process as well as monthly SG&A variance analyses and deep dives across all functions
  • Manage financial risk by flagging potential deviations from plan and proactively offering actionable improvement strategies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across teams, functions, and countries, acting as a trusted strategic partner to business leaders
  • Support top management decision-making by delivering high-level financial transparency and insights through critical, company-wide analyses
  • Drive continuous process optimisation, reporting automation, and AI adoption within financial closing processes to maximise reporting quality and scalability across the P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet

YOU COME WITH

  • 4+ years of professional experience in a financial environment such as FP&A, controlling, or BI and analytics
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for metrics and figures, combining a meticulous eye for detail with a strong grasp of the bigger picture
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel paired with Power BI experience, with Microsoft Business Central knowledge considered a plus
  • Proven drive to identify process inefficiencies and bottlenecks, proactively solving them through automation and AI tools
  • High comfort level operating in fast-paced environments, managing complex tasks with strong ownership, organisation, and agility
  • Fluency in English and the ability to communicate clearly, factually, and persuasively with stakeholders across all seniority levels
